Originally created using a dip-pen and ink, this piece is part of a series of illustrations based around folklore, mythology and fairytales. This particular piece, is based on an old Portuguese folklore tradition. It is said that on St John's eve (the solstice), water has great healing powers. Just before dawn, children and cattle were sent to bathe in rivers or dew to ensure health and strength. 

Individually signed and numbered in pencil on the front and ink on the back. Printed digitally on 300gsm, semi-gloss paper to maintain all the intricate details. The dimensions of this print are 148 x 210 mm for A5 and 210 x 297 mm for A4.

All orders of this size and smaller are sent in sturdy cardboard backed envelopes.
